Male Hormone Balancing
Men and women age differently and have different symptoms in their advancing years. Decreased muscle strength and endurance, diminished sex drive, decreased mental acuity and weight gain around the waistline, chest and back are all signs of andropause, the male equivalent of menopause. Imbalances of specific male hormones result in these symptoms and more. While low testosterone is a commonly recognized male hormone imbalance, we recognize that it is also important to maintain appropriate levels of estrogen, progesterone, DHEA and adrenal cortisol. We work with patients to achieve a healthy balance of hormones to relieve symptoms while supporting good prostate and adrenal health. Dr. Eller and Dr. Cavenee evaluate each patient’s symptoms and hormone test results to provide a custom bioidentical hormone replacement plan designed to bring those hormones back into balance. Follow up treatment and monitoring is tailored to the needs of each individual patient not only to meet their needs today, but in addition, to maintain vitality for life.
